Red Feather Lakes is surrounded by Roosevelt National Forest, with beautiful pine forests and breathtaking views of Mummy Range and the Baldy Mountains. There are a large number of lakes and creeks throughout the area. At least 12 lakes are located within the vicinity of the Red Feather Lakes Village itself. Parvin Lake, Dowdy Lake and West Lake are available for public recreation. There are also several private lakes, such as Snake Lake, Letitia Lake, Red Feather Lake, Lake Ramona, Hiawatha Lake, Apache Lake, Shagwa Lake, Lake Nokomis, and Lake Erie.
